1. Brief introduction of the XiBei Chinese Association

西北同乡会于2011年10月18日在卡尔加里注册，注册名称为"XiBei Chinese Association, Inc."，简称CXBCA。西北同乡会的主旨是促进侨胞联谊，是一个非盈利性、非政治性的组织，其运作所需的人力物力完全来自于会员的义务服务和捐助。近几年来，西北同乡会组织和协办各种活动, 联系乡亲，服务社区。每年的西北故乡情、西北风情烧烤大会和各类精彩演出活动都吸引了众多乡亲和各界朋友慕名参加。同时, 西北同乡会舞蹈队每周日举办舞蹈排练和健身活动, 目前有队员54人。

The XiBei Chinese Association (CXBCA for short) was incorporated and registered in Calgary on 18 October 2011. The main points of the XiBei Chinese Association are to increase fellowship among overseas Chinese in Alberta. It is non-profit, non-political organization, and the human and material power needed for its operation all come completely from the volunteer service and contributions of its members. Over the past few years the Xibei Chinese Association has organised and helped put on various activities, put people from northwestern China in touch with each other, and done community service. At the annual “Taste of Home Festival” a large northwestern-style performance is put on, along with various entertaining performances that attract many people from northwestern China as well as the participation of many other interested and curious friends. We also have the dance troupe rehearses once every week as our routine activities and it has 54 members so far.
  
2. 理事会构成:
理事会是西北同乡会的常设机构，理事会由正副会长,秘书和会计组成;  理事会选举每三年一次。本届理事会暨第四届理事会于2019年4月开始运作.
2. The composition of the Executive Board members : 
The Executive Board members are permanent bodies within the XiBei Chinese Association. The Executive Board members is made up of the President, Vice president, Secretary and Treasurer. MThe Executive Board members are elected once every three years. The current Executive Board members is the fourth since our founding, and its tenure began in April 2019.

• 西北故乡情  (每年5月初)
• 西北风情烧烤大会 (每年9月初)

4. The main large-scale events the XiBei Chinese Association puts on every year are: 
* Taste of Home Festival (every year in early May) 
* Northwestern Style Barbecue Festival (every year in early September)  

5. 西北同乡会组织的日常活动:
舞蹈队每周排练一次, 会员免费. 目前舞蹈队登记人数为54人.
时间: 每周日 10:30 am — 1:00 pm
地点: 卡城文化中心舞蹈室, 197 1st Street SW, Calgary, AB T2P 4M4 

5. Routine activities put on by the XiBei Chinese Association: 
The dance troupe rehearses once every week, it's free for all member of Xibei Chinese Association. There are currently 54 registered members of the dance troupe. 
Time: Every Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
